MaryAnn, Sally, Mrs. Lemley, George and a half dozen other neighborhood residents are great advocates for our neighborhood kids. They plan events, tutor and just listen to the kids in the neighborhood. I am fortunate, in my work, I have the opportunity to meet people just like them from every neighborhood in the City; and they are there in every neighborhood. These people create and sustain community and they need our support and appreciation. If you meet someone in your neighborhood who is willing to work with kids who are not their own consider helping them in any way you can.
Thank you Mary Ann, Sally, Mrs. Lemley, George and everyone else who cares so deeply and so kindly for all the kids in our neighborhood. Parenting is a challenge and a pleasure with which you help more than you can imagine.
