C-Town wants to change the Zoning on Exchange St and Ferry from an RM1 residential to a BA business zone.

They propose to knock down 2 home that are on the national historic register to build an Ace Hardware store.

The proposal narrowly  past the city plan commission last month and will now go to the Board of Alderman's Legislation Committee.

Alderman Enie Santaigo from 15 ward went lobbying for C-town door to door in that area and did not consult the community as a whole about the proposal. When ask about his actions at the management team meeting he stated that he and the owners of C-town play baseball together so he want to help.

C-town want to change the character of the neighborhood.  We need your comments and thoughts on this idea asap

The Zoning Ordinance Map Amendment to change designation of properties at 137 and 141 Exchange St and 184 Grand Ave from RM-1 to BA-1) will be added to the March 14 agenda.  Come out to this hearing and let the commission know that we care about our neighborhood.  See link below
