World Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Day

Did you know Mary Wade has an excellent Pulmonary Program? Our program includes a Pulmonary Rehabilitation clinic. The clinic continues to be under the supervision of Dr Allen Rodriquez, Pulmonologist. Pulmonary consults and rounds continue to be on Wednesday’s mornings.  The physical therapy team, speech, APRN, nursing supervisors, have been attending rounds, along with myself and Dr Rodriquez.  During rounds the team will put together a therapy and treatment plan. A chart review of each patient is reviewed along with the discharge information of all the medications, lab work with imaging, and interpretation of CXR’s. Then a plan is drafted under the supervision of Dr Rodrigues, during rounds the best suite the patient.  Pulmonary rounds include Dr Rodriquez contacting patients’ physicians on any problems or concerns which may arise.  He will also consult patient’s families concerning end of life and/or goals of care.
