Event Description
Halloween is a holiday celebrated each year on October 31. Halloween is not only the spookiest of holidays, it is a magical time that makes some of the best memories. Many of our seniors remember how much fun it was to get dressed up for Halloween or making a costume for their loved one. George Creamer remembers how he loved getting dressed like a cowboy when he was young or Barbara Harris who made her daughter a ghost costume.
Here at Chatham Place at Mary Wade we like to make a big fuss and build their excitement bringing back memories and reminding them they are never too old to celebrate Halloween. Staff and family members will fill the street and host a Willy Wonka themed party for the residents: DJ, photo booth with props and back drops, games and prizes for the best costumes different categories. And you got it right, there will be a ton of great costumes.
Local organizations joined in the fun with a Pumpkin Palooza contest. Pumpkins are decorated and judged – with prizes being handed out in different categories.
