Event Description
Come meet Roland and support his candidacy for State Rep from the 96th District! Thanks to the Citizens’ Election Program, a strong grassroots candidate anywhere in this state can have real, direct influence over what happens in Hartford. We have a chance to run campaigns that we can be proud of; we can be elected based upon the strength of our ideas and our ability to mobilize voters. Removing money from the system should give more people the opportunity to run for office, and it should lessen the corrupting influence that large donations can have on small campaigns. Let’s keep our elections clean and free from undue influence by corporate interests, lobbyists, and state contractors. In order to qualify for the CEP, Roland's campaign must attract 150 donors, each donating between $5 and 100, from Hamden and New Haven. Please join us!
