Meeting Minutes: Sept. 2016 meeting

The Economic & Community Development group met on Monday, Sept. 19, 2016, from 6 – 7 pm at 20 Grand Ave. Present: Christel Manning, David Hunter, Diane Panasci, Lee Cruz, Carol Dsa, Rich Pizzo, Brenda Bron

1. Fall Harvest Festival: Sept. 24 ( rain date Sept. 25) is ready to rock. Order of entertainment events: Mike Mills Drummers, Kings of Harmony, Alisa’s House of Salsa, Kings (set 2). We will also have a dance floor (new this year thanks to Rich and Rafael) and the horse-drawn buggy and arts & crafts (as before). Food will include Pizza, Bread, lemonade, water. City health bureaucracy is imposing several new requirements this year, including providing tent to cover food service, a sanitation station, a portaloo, etc. (we have a list and are following it to the T). Tambira will MC and thank all our sponsors which are even more numerous than in past years. Carol, Sally, Mary Ann are making the food happen, Lee has coordinated music and horse buggy. We still need volunteers for set up and clean up!! 

2. Soup Night: Chatham Square Harvest Festival is this weekend, and September ends on a Friday, so we could have a Soup night early in October. Christel will put out a call for volunteer hosts.
