Fair Haven is a Diverse Community with a Rich History and a Beautiful Waterfront
Important traffic safety message for Fair Haven residents living near Front Street regarding the start of the long-awaited Front Street traffic calming project.
This traffic calming project consists of raised intersections at Exchange St, Pierpont St, 2nd St, and Chambers St. Construction on this exciting project will begin tomorrow morning, Thursday, July 28th, and will take up to 4 weeks depending on the weather and schedule.
Residents should note, there may be traffic shifts associated with the work and we ask that you watch for temporary traffic signage. Benefits will include slower traffic speeds, enhanced pedestrian crossings, and better access to the park.
This project will help ensure improved safety for pedestrians, bicycles and cars who traverse the area.
