Meteorologists around the state continue to follow Tropical Storm Elsa as it makes landfall in Florida and is expected to quicken its pace as it surges up the East Coast this week. Most projections indicate the storm will make landfall in Connecticut late Thursday and early Friday. The National Hurricane Center’s latest model sees the storm likely to impact weather most prominently early Friday, and while it is expected to weaken to a tropical depression or regular storm conditions by then, it will still bring strong winds and heavy rain to our region. As much as four winds of rain is possible, as are winds as high as 25-35 miles per hour.
