Your help needed to bring a Problem Property to the attention of the City

The issues are blight and vermin.

155/153 Lombard St has absentee landlords who are allowing their property to deteriorate. Racoons and squirrels have been seen coming in and out of the house, where they have built nests, causing health and safety issues. The shingles are falling off the house making it not only unsightly, but attracting vermin to make nests.

You can help by following this link: http://en.seeclickfix.com/issues/1601703-other ;and voting to tell the City that we need their help to address this problem. The City can fine the owners for the code violations and help the residents to find new and safer housing. You can vote anonymously or login to the site.

If you live in the neighborhood and you are having difficulty getting the attention of your local elected or city official to address a problem of safety, health or anything that improves the neighborhood please use this blog to rally your neighbors to support your request. The neighborhood is our community, it belongs to all of us. While stay courteous and respectful we must insist and whenever possible work together to insure that the law and safety regulations are upheld by local City officials. Today you can help Diane, tomorrow the rest of us could be helping you.

Thank you.

Thank you Lee! I appreciate you getting word out to CSNA and your very large network of committed interested community and city leaders; as well as concerned citizens. There are so many streets in our neighborhood that could be as lovely and liveable as Perkins St as a beautiful example. The only thing standing in the way in most cases is an absentee landlord with no interest in the health and well being of his/her tenants and no interest in helping to make Chatham Square Neighborhood and the rest of Fair Haven the Hidden Gem it has so much potential to be.

Again thank you!
