Chatham Square Association

Fair Haven is a Diverse Community with a Rich History and a Beautiful Waterfront

Dear neighbors:

The United Way of Greater New Haven works with you and me to strengthen our neighborhood. The United Way is a local non-profit organization acting as our fiduciary so that our neighborhood association has minimal administrative expenses. The United Way focuses on improving lives and community conditions in education, income and health: the building blocks for a good life in Greater New Haven.

I am writing to ask you to join me and 3 of your neighbors who have already pledged to support our neighborhood clean ups, Easter and Halloween events for children, Art in the Park, Annual Chatham Square Festival and much more via the United Way. Please consider pledging in one of two ways:

1. One-time gift using the attached form or by going to United Way of Greater New Haven. In either case it is important that you designate your gift "UWGNH - Chatham Square Neighborhood Association."

2. Payroll deduction using the attached form. This is a great way to give generously over a year, with minimal impact on monthly household budgets. If you are a Yale employee, you may also set up payroll deduction online here.

(Instructions for the Yale site: once you enter your information, select “Find an Agency,” then “Expand your agency search.” Type in “Chatham” and a new option to “Provide agency information” will appear at the bottom of the page. Enter “UWGNH - Chatham Square Neighborhood Association” here and the United Way will take care of the rest.)

Note: 20% of donations help cover the administration costs of the United Way. Please consider this our collective contribution to the broader work of this great nonprofit.

As residents of Chatham Square Neighborhood, we all have a stake in making our community a better place to live. Supporting our neighborhood association is one of the easiest and smartest ways we can do this. If just 10 neighbors or local businesses pledge just $10 per month during 2013, we will raise $1000 to support activities that benefit all of us, right where we live. Every gift counts.

Thank you for considering this request and happy holidays!

The words "attached form" is a link to the form. If that does not work for you try copying and pasting this address o your browser:

I must be missing something, but I don't see a place to designate on the online form.  Where should I be looking?

My New Year's Resolution is to be a member of #26Acts:  performing 26 acts of kindness/mitvahs in memory of the Sandy Hook victims.  Because I know how positively CSNA touches the lives of the children and families in our community, I am sending my donation today to the United Way for the benefit of CSNA.  It is my pleasure to do so.
