Our current, amazing internship coordinator has told me that this will be her last year at NHA (this was a pre-retirement position for her after a long career as a social worker!). There's a movement afoot to create a trail along the Mill River that would connect East Rock Park and Fair Haven (all the way to Grand Avenue and possibly beyond). Hi Natalie:
I went by the garden earlier today and saw what a great job you had done. I did one more quick weed pull and tomorrow I am going to plant pumpkins. After weeding this AM I realized I will not be able to do much weeding so I want to keep it really simple. My shoulder hurt a lot. So pumpkins it is and though it is late for them perhaps the amount of sun it gets will hurry them along in time to make it.
I have met a few people working at the garden in the last few days. It is really a lovely place.
