Fair Haven Violence Emergency Community Leadership Meeting TONIGHT @ 6:30
Dear neighbors,
In recent weeks, violence in our neighborhood has reached an intolerable level. Within the last two weeks, have seen two homicides and two shootings. We will not allow the current situation to be normalized and call for all hands on deck to treat the current spike as the emergency that it is.
Alders Santiago y Crespo will join me in convening a Fair Haven Violence Emergency Response Community Leadership Meeting tomorrow, Thursday September 9 at 6:30PM via Zoom: https://bit.ly/FairHavenViolenceEmergency. We will strategize around action related to the Grand Cafe specifically—the site of one of last evening’s shootings and significant police activity in recent weeks—and discuss how to address the current crisis in Fair Haven, both as a grassroots community and in partnership with the NHPD and other city leadership.

The levels of violence and insecurity are truly alarming. Would love to hear the strategy in place from our city leaders and if all past and recent incidents have been solved? Are the cameras in New Haven being utilized to track these perpetrators? Sadly, New Haven is not looking good at all.
