COVID-19 ASSISTANCE
Indoor Mask Mandate - To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the City is requiring everyone, vaccinated or not, to wear a mask while indoors in New Haven in places such as restaurants, stores, offices, and public buildings. The City also is urging teachers, staff, students, and school visitors, vaccinated or not, to wear a mask indoors while at school. Finally, the City is encouraging city businesses to post signs in their establishments on this mask mandate and the need for social distancing and hand sanitizer, and to ask employees and customers to follow the mandate. For details, please visit Mayor Elicker's Executive Order.
Free COVID-19 Vaccination - The City is still offering free COVID-19 vaccination to anyone who is at least 12 years old and needs it. For details, please visit New Haven Vaccination Info.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
PPP Loan Forgiveness - The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is accepting Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan forgiveness applications, and hosting a webinar on September 2 to help small businesses to apply. For details, please visit SBA PPP Loan Forgiveness, or or to attend the webinar, please visit PPP Webinar
New Haven ARP Arts Grants - The City’s Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA) has 3 grant opportunities to support New Haven arts and cultural activities:
  • Public Art Grant: to help arts and cultural organizations and artists to create works of art for the city’s public spaces.
  • Venue Sponsorship Grant: to help non-profit venues to lower their production and rental costs for community members who wish to utilize their spaces.
  • Outdoor Festival and Event Grant: to support outdoor activities that celebrate culture, community, and commerce.
 
To apply for these grants by the deadline of 11 am on August 31, please visit New Haven Bonfire.
ACT also has re-opened 2 New Haven arts and cultural activity grant opportunities:
 
  • Arts & Culture Sustainability Grant: to support artists directly and/or expand free or low-cost events and programs for New Haven residents.
  • Art & Economic Resiliency Grant: to create arts and cultural programming and services that increase City revenue and tourism.

Collab Fall 2021 Accelerator - Collab is accepting applications for its Fall 2021 Accelerator, a 12-week course of 1-on-1 workshops and coaching for entrepreneurs who want to create positive change. For details or to apply by the September 5 deadline, please visit Collab New Haven Accelerator 
Biosciences 2022 Accelerator - The Accelerator for Biosciences in Connecticut, a program that helps new life-science ventures to build a team and secure financing, is taking applications for its 2022 cohort. For details, please register for an information session or apply at ABCT Program by October 25.
