Let's create a Mill River Trail to connect Fair Haven & East Rock Park

There's a movement afoot to create a trail along the Mill River that would connect East Rock Park and Fair Haven (all the way to Grand Avenue and possibly beyond).  This would be a great addition to our neighborhood and our city; if you agree, please consider voting and/or commenting on the issue via this SeeClickFix post:

Dear Fair Haven neighbors,
We are at a very important crossroads to success happening right now. We are at a point now where we can achieve success. I stress the word WE because I can not do this alone. I can start the fire but WE must provide the energy to shine like the sun. Are You willing to step up and help lead this community into the future?

B) A central business district

Will this proposal come as far as Front Street? I am really interested in taking advantage of this great visual aspect of Chatham Square. I also feel it will create an added incentive to the destination approach of the two neighborhoods snd anchor support.

Thanks for posting this, Natalie. I will bring it to the attention of Economic & Community Development Committee next Monday if you are not there. Recently I was approached by a Yale student working for the City to gather information for this project. She came across info on related efforts by the late Tom Holahan and me circa 2006. I agree that we should all vote on SeeClickFix. Anyone can do so, either anonymously or with your email. If you include your email, the City may notify you to confirm they are working on it and/or convening a meeting. They cannot use your email address for anything else.
