The Elm City Montessori School is a grassroots effort to bring a public Montessori School option to New Haven this Fall 2013.
We need to demonstrate public interest in enrollment to both the New Haven Board of Education and the State Department of Education with our application on April 1.

The "New Haven Parents" (an informal group working to increase parent input into education in New Haven), in particular Eliza Halsey, have coordinated efforts with the Hartford Public Schools Montessori magnet schools, the local New Haven Montessori schools and another dedicated parent group working to bring a Montessori to the Bridgeport Public Schools, to make a public Montessori a reality for New Haven in the Fall of 2013.
