New Haven Planning to Upgrade & Increase Functionality Elm City Resident Card, Interested in Your Input

The City of New Haven is in the process of upgrading and increasing the functionality of its Elm City Resident Card.  The City has contracted with Community Financial Resources, a non-profit that works nationally to develop consumer-friendly banking products for low-to-moderate income households),  to help design an enhanced card that meets the needs of its residents.

Good News from the New Haven Independent: “Ghost” Trail Leads To Dirt Bikers

A woman called the cops after seeing a dirt biker tear down Norton Street. Carlos Conceicao and Josh Kyle turned the corner wondering if the call was about the biker they’d been looking for. They had a “ghost” of an idea of how to catch him—on foot.

The idea: collect information to produce “ghost warrants.” And show that cops without wheels can have the last laugh.

The branch libraries in New Haven are now open on a rotating schedule.  Of course, you have access to each one of them with your library card.  Fair Haven Library is open the following days and times:
