IRS SCAM: 719-344-2781

My Dear Community,

---
I recieved an official sounding voice message saying I needed to return the call before something goes wrong. It was a…

Seeking an apartment (or a really special house)

Hi, my partner and I (she's a farmer/teacher, I'm a playwright/teacher) are looking to rent a 2 bedroom apartment (or 1 bedroom plus office) in Fair Haven or Fair Haven Heights. Ideally near the river or some nice trees. Eventually we'll want to buy a house here, so if you know of a special house, we could be persuaded to skip the apartment-renting step. Could move in anytime between March 1-July 1. References available, and I'll write you a poem about your house, pet, or tree. Contact…

Free Tax Filing through the New Haven VITA Coalition!

Individuals and families earning less than $54,000 a year are eligible for free tax preparation at over a dozen sites in New Haven...spread the word! Free VITA sites save filers an average of $200 and encourage people who don't think they need to file to see if they are eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit.

Regrettably, the Fair Haven site at the Columbus Academy on Blatchley isn't operating, but there are many others (I volunteer at the Emanuel Luthern site in East Rock, Sundays…
