On a gorgeous Saturday morning it was a special treat to witness the signing of a covenant to promise friendship and support between the Native American tribe and the people of the region. I particularly enjoyed learning more about the earliest inhabitants of Fair Haven.

Hi everybody,
Many of you probably know Grand Vin, on the corner of Grand and Quinnipiac Avenues. It's a gem of store, selling a variety of fine wines, beers and liquor, more like the Wine Thief downtown than the other liquor stores on Grand Ave. Ben, the owner, is very knowlegable, and committed to the neighborhood. The branch libraries in New Haven are now open on a rotating schedule. Of course, you have access to each one of them with your library card. Fair Haven Library is open the following days and times:
Monday 10 am - 6 pm (closed Memorial Day, Monday, May 30)
Tuesday 10 am - 6 pm
Thursday 12 pm - 8 pm

The Spring Clean-up to kick off the CSNA "year" will be on April 9th from 9am to 1pm in the Chatham Square Park.
Once again we will have Yale and Neighbor Volunteers and I hope we can count on all of you as well.
